Playing Career Highlights

Lisa Webb's journey in the AFLW began when she was drafted by Fremantle with their first pick, the second overall, in the 2017 AFL Women's rookie draft. Making an impressive debut, she quickly established herself as one of Fremantle's key players in their 13-point victory over Collingwood at Optus Stadium in Round 2 of the 2018 season. Lisa played six games that season, showcasing her talent and dedication on the field. She retired at the end of 2018, wrapping up her playing career to focus on new challenges.

Transition to Coaching

In 2019, Lisa took on a new role as the opposition and strategy coach for the Fremantle AFLW team. Her strategic acumen and deep understanding of the game made her an invaluable asset. She remained an assistant coach until June 2022 when she relocated to Melbourne for family reasons. There, she continued to shine as the Western Bulldogs AFLW midfield coach for their seventh season.

February 2023 marked a significant milestone in Lisa’s career as she was appointed the senior coach of the Fremantle AFLW team on a three-year contract. Her leadership and coaching skills were soon evident as she led the team through the 2023 season, achieving a balanced record of three wins and four losses by Round 7.

Lisa's passion for athletics was nurtured from a young age in a hardworking family environment. Her father, who was also her coach, was her biggest inspiration, pushing her to excel while ensuring that fun remained a key element of her training.
